The Ranch
Lucky Dog Daycare Ranch is a cage free dog daycare and dog boarding facility located on 23 acres of dog paradise. The property is entirely fenced, and is positioned a quarter of a mile off Mayhill Road.
We are not a conventional dog kennel or dog day care facility. We do not limit your dog’s play and exercise time to short intervals a couple of times a day. We focus on maximizing outdoor exercise. We walk at least six miles off leash every day beginning with a one hour walk from 9am to 10am each morning. This walking, combined with all-day normal dog play results in a very tired dog at the end of the day.
In addition to the outdoor areas, we have a 600 sq/ft building that has air conditioning and heat for those times when we need to take a break from the heat or rain.
Your pet is always under the supervision of responsible adults who are Pet CPR/First Aid certified and are certified with the American Boarding Kennel Association.
We gladly accept older dogs, dogs with special needs, and dogs requiring regular medication.
We only accept friendly, spayed and neutered dogs over 20 pounds.
Due to insurance restrictions, we cannot accept Pit Bulls, Pit Bull mixes, Rottweilers, or any of the other “bully breeds”. Also, we will not accept any dog that displays aggression toward other dogs or humans.
Before we accept any dog into daycare, Lucky Dog Daycare Ranch requires a site visit by the owner and the dog. After the site visit, a free day of daycare is scheduled to conduct a Temperament Assessment and to observe the behavior of the dog without the owner present.
Because Lucky Dog Daycare Ranch is a cage-free facility, we only accept new daycare dogs that need two or more daycare days per week. This frequency allows your dog to get to know us, the other dogs, and the routine. As a result, stress is reduced, and socialization, interaction, and fun are increased.
